Vegan Mexican Stew

I found this recipe on All Recipes and decided to try it. It’s VERY good! Some of the comments indicated that it was all spice and no taste. Well, considering I’m a new chef, I don’t know too much, but it was very good to me :) !

Freedom of Speech?

The last few years in NA$CAR, there have been what us fans have called “mysterious debris”. NA$CAR will call a caution for debris, but not one soul can see it anywhere.

Apparently, drivers have been frustrated as well, as they don’t see it either.

One of my favorite drivers Tony Stewart voiced his frustration on his Radio Show on Sirius radio. Well, NA$CAR was “disappointed” but didn’t know if they would “punish” him. Well, today at 6 AM, Tony met with NA$CAR and “apologized” for his remarks and was fined $10,000. For NA$CAR drivers, $10,000 is like $10.

Last weekend at Phoenix, Tony was in a position to win the race. NA$CAR threw their mysterious debris caution, which ended Tony’s chance at a win.  After the race, the top 3 drivers have a chat with the Media, to answer questions and such. Tony who is known for his temper, decided to skip the Media question and answer. He was quite frustrated and felt that he would stick his foot in the mouth. So then on his Radio Show, he decided to let his 2 cents be known.

Many fans have applauded Tony, as the fans have felt the same frustration.

So do drivers have a Freedom of Speech? Are they allowed to express their true feelings or keep them in for fear of being fined?

May Rotation — Week 1

For May, I decided to do a Tae Bo Rotation. I have some workouts that I haven’t done in a while, so I need to break them out.

Hopefully they’ll be mixed up well enough to give variety, work my body differently each day and get some results!

There is one day that I’m going to do my SSex workouts so I can get them in and I’ll do my Fluidity and the conditioning from SSex, but other that that, all the workouts will be Tae Bo.

So I have for the first week:

Sunday–Rest
Monday–Full Throttle/Tae Bo Abs
Tuesday–Cardio Circuit 2/Capture the Power Stretch
Wednesday–Live in L.A./Cardio Circuit 1
Thursday–Fat Blasting Cardio/Rockin’ Buns
Friday–Fat Burn Accelerator/Abs and Glutes
Saturday–Celebrity Fit Cardio/Fluidity

Before Pictures

OK, now that I have a camera that is capable of taking real pictures, I’ve taken some before shots. While not *true* befores, at least it’ll get me something to be able to track my progress from here on out.

I’m still putting together my rotation for May. I think that I’m going to do a 5 week one and then a 6 week one to take me to AR2007. Since I won’t have a full week to do a rotation I think I’ll just have a “free” week that week and then the week I return. Then on to the next one. I think that I *might* do a P90X rotation. It’s for 90 days and I hope that I can stay away from Billy and Tom that long :) . The program literally comes with 2 books. One for the various rotations you can do. The other is the Nutritional plan. You truly will need one due to the grueling workouts Tony does! However, it’s VERY Veg*n friendly! I haven’t decided on if I’m going to tweak their nutritional plans or create my own.

Out of Touch

I often wonder even if I were to find a man to sweep me off my feet, would I know what to do?

I’m not one that the boys were knocking my door down to date, so dating just didn’t happen for me.

So if Mr. Right came knocking on my door, would I know him? And if I did, would I know how to treat him? What do you do as a girlfriend?

As much as I want that special someone to be in my life, at the same time, I’m scared to death.

I don’t want my inexperience and lack of confidence to be a deal killer for what would be a totally wonderful man!

Maybe I’m worrying over nothing and all will be fine, but if he never comes, then I’ll never know!

AR2007

In July I’ll be heading out to California for an Animal Rights conference! It’s going to be so much fun! I can’t wait to go.

It’s an event that has been around for a while and brings ARAs together to meet and learn more about the movement!

I’m going to meet several folks that I’ve met online and of course new friends! One of my friends Eric, has a blog at An Animal Friendly Life, will also be a speaker!

There is going to be a lot of fun things to do! And quite a busy schedule! I truly can’t wait to go!

New Camera!

OK, I’m going to AR2007 and needed a REAL camera! The crappy cheap one I had I could never get the face to show! It looked OK in the camera, but when you uploaded, the face was a dark blob :( . So I ordered a Samsung Digimax S500 the other week and took a few test shots and so far so good! So now I should be able to post pictures and post ‘em here and they’ll actually look like something :) !

Now I better take a billion pictures while out in Cali! But it’s going to be a blast!

SWAT

No, it’s not the police! It’s a new workout created by Tom Stroup! He’s a real SWAT Commander as well and a total sweetie! No, I haven’t given up on Billy! Billy is still my main squeeze *giggle*

His first outing consists of 4 workouts: Strength, Weight Loss, Abs and Core and Toning. There also is a bonus workout Express. And if you’re catching on, yes the names of the workouts form the acronym.

I’ve been emailing with Tom the last few months and he came up with an idea of doing a 3 week rotation with his Weight Loss workout as the base. Due to his filming of new infomercials and new advanced workouts, he had to bow out. But I decided to continue myself. The fist week, I did well, but last week and this week, I started off slow! But I’ll pick it back up!

His first installment, the workouts are short, 30 minutes or less, but they are fun! Even though I did miss a couple of the workouts, I do hope that the rotation works out! When I planned it, I decided to do it for 4 weeks to end out the month.

I haven’t decided what I’m going to do for May yet. I’ll have pretty much 6 weeks before AR2007, so hopefully I can lose more.

I’m Back

I know I haven’t written in forever! I do need to get back to writing and I will. I’ll try to stay consistent from here on out!
