The one Omni treat that I LOVED was Cinnabon cinnamon rolls, I even always picked up extra frosting! I was upset when they raised the price but it was worth it. I know the Cinnabon is like a million and a half calories but it was worth every last one!
Someone posted a cinnamon roll recipe on the forums and I finally made it. I used one of Isa’s Cinnamon icing recipes.

Well I made more cupcakes this week, this time chocolate with Peanut Buttercream Frosting! I thought I was being smart and triple it since it said for cupcakes to double as the recipe was made for piping. Now I have a ton left over to eat up or make more cupcakes or a cake…hmmmmmmm……..

I recently purchased the Uncheeze Cookbook by Jo Stepaniak and have made a few items from it :). I made some Mac ‘n Cheeze this past week. I have a few Cheeze recipes but many even though I double it’s not enough. But the Cheeze recipe in this even when doubled is plenty!

I’m not big on what my friend Dino calls Omni-Subs but every once in a while I will have something. I was not a big chicken eater when I was omni. I had a nasty experience when I was little with a vein so I wouldn’t eat chicken anymore. Then I found out years later about boneless chicken so when I ate out would often have that. I never cooked it, I attempted twice and had bad experiences. Both were the easy everything is here and put it in the oven and still managed to under cook.
So I don’t know about the breading and such that goes on but I did make an attempt according to the package directions. So this is the results :).

I’m very SLOWLY getting through this! I just need to set time to read each day. I haven’t had my devos in forever either, so I’m slacking in all ways.
But I’m hoping to get going here again and post my thoughts. I started reading this but I”m going to start over, since it’s been so long between readings.

Oprah’s beloved Sophie passed away recently so in her memory, on Friday, Oprah will be doing a show on Puppy Mills. Lisa Ling, many may know her from The View, will be doing the exposé. While Oprah states that Sophie was not from a puppy mill, she has “bought” dogs from breeders.
While people will “gasp” at the horror, how sad that those same people will be munching away at the carcasses of animals that were treated as bad if not worse to be killed so these people can “get their grub on”.
It’s truly a shame that people may “get behind” the movement to shut down Puppy Mills but will still consume animals and their secretions. While I doubt many will Go Vegan after seeing the show, I do hope that many will start to put two and two together and see that these dogs are no more different than the cow or pig on their plate.

When we’re not eating our rocks and twigs, we also like to eat dessert!
One of the first Vegan cookbooks I purchased was Vegan Cupcakes Take Over the World or VCTOW as we call it!
I had the book well over a year before I even really looked at it, last year we had a slumber party at Scott’s house and Gina brought some cupcakes with Peanut Buttercream Frosting and I loved it. I made the frosting a few times but still not any cupcakes until this week!
I made the Golden Vanilla Cupcakes and Buttercream Frosting! YUM! Sorry the frosting is crappy, I suck at that!

I recently purchased Veganomicon after hearing about one recipe in particular. A fellow Freak Sarah has been addicted to the Chickpea Cutlets and talks about them all the time so I decided to check the book out and see what other goodies Isa has for us :).
I made Isa’s BBQ sauce but was too lazy to puree it so it’s not quite smooth but still yum! I was a bit short on funds and I had most of the ingredients so that’s partly why I used it.
I think I did a few things wrong as I had some extra stuff and even though I doubled the recipe only came out with 6 (the original recipe yields 4). But that’s fine! I’ll keep working on it and get it down

This is something I tried last week, I ended up being lazy and didn’t shred the cheese, but it’s a combo of Teese and FYH. Teese is a new product by the Chicago Soydairy! They also make Temptation Ice Cream. They are one of (if not the only one) few pure 100% vegan companies as they produce all their products on 100% dedicated equipment. Teese rocks! I was not a big cheese person but I do like Teese and Cheezly. FYH wasn’t too bad and I just received some Shreese so I’m looking to trying that :).
